She is so good at avoiding them. But she is awfully cute doing it.

Happy Birthday Jake!
Morning Walks
Rain or shine! (well, some of the time.) Alison moved in across the street last year, and we decided it would be a great idea to walk in the mornings together. So we have! We usually stop at a park along the way for the kids to play, and it has been such a great outlet for us to chat about anything and everything. She has become one of my dearest friends, that’s for sure.
This time we were caught in the rain while out for a walk, and we both just laughed and soaked it all in. Our shoes squeaked the whole way back.
Quick Trip
Ava and I went on a quick trip to Utah for some photography work. It was the best excuse to be able to be there in the fall when the leaves are brilliant colors and the air is crisp and cool. Oh I just love it there. And of course, Ava had a blast with all her cousins and her aunts and uncles and grandparents. For us, Utah is one of our favorite places to travel.
Click here and here to see the photoshoots I did while there.
A Child’s Prayer
Picture this. Ava in her little mermaid costume, sitting at the table with a napkin on the table and a handful of goldfish on top. There are also three other napkins on the table with goldfish on top. They belong to the three baby dolls also seated at the table with her.
This was her prayer on the goldfish.
“Dear Heanly Fauder,
Gank you for this day and gank you for mommy and Ava and daddy sleeping. And gank you for this food and for the babies. And gank you for my room and for the goldfish. Gank you for families together forever and for the Gospel. Name of Jesus Christ Amen.”
